Robert Downey Jr. – The Mesmerizing Enigma

Robert Downey Jr.

Who would have thought that the guy who gave us hits like Ironman, The Avengers, & Sherlock Holmes, would turn out to be as eccentric as the characters he plays! Yes, the ‘Ironman’ has set social media abuzz with his latest hoopla when the video of him performing with Sting became viral.

Originally sung by Sting, a rendition of a song ‘Driven to tears’ from the album Zenyatta Mondatta by The Police was performed by Robert Downey Jr. as a duet with Sting himself on the latter’s 60th birthday in 2011.

The video only just circulated on the web and is gaining popularity not because of how good the song was or how amazing Sting still is, but because how incredible Robert Downey Jr. sounded when he performed that duet. Don’t believe me? Listen for yourself!

Of note, this is not the first time that The Avengers star has performed with Sting. He had paired with Sting in 2001 for a rendition of ‘Every Breath You Take’ in an episode of Ally McBeal.
